Pixel 4 has Google Camera 7.2, which is now rolling out for older Pixel phones. Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 phones are getting the update on Google play store from camera version 6.2 to version 7.2.
Older Google Pixel phones will now have a new interface with the camera modes below the shutter button. A new social sharing feature is added with the update. Users can directly swipe up on the right bottom to select the app to share the recent photo. Applications like WhatsApp, messages, telegram, Instagram and more can be added to the list.
Another benefit of this new Google Camera 7.2 update for pixel 2 and 3 users is Astrophotography mode. Users can turn Astrophotography on by turning to night sight then keeping the phone steady. Soon the message will pop up on a screen that Astrophotography is turned on. This mode will take pictures in dark by consuming as much as light possible. Although the mode is more convenient to use with Pixel 3, Pixel 2 XL might not give similar great results.
Google Camera 7.2 with new UI also includes some minor changes like camera alert for proper alignments, tap on the viewfinder for exposure and zoom, mirrored selfie mode, burst photo mode removal and improvement of front camera video resolutions.
Google is rolling out the update in batches for old phones. soon all Pixel 2 and 3 users will receive the update on play store.
