LG has started giving LG V20 a new OS update of Android 9 pie. By the end of the year, LG G8 ThinQ will also get an update of Android 10. LG V20 was launched in the year 2016 with Android Nougat and after almost one year the upgradations of Android Oreo was given. There were confirmations that this is the last latest OS for the phone LG V20. Now, the company has given the update to the phone of Android Pie. Initially, the update is rolling out for the Korean users and soon it will be given in more carriers.
LG G8 Android 10 update is expected to solve all the bugs and also there’s an expectation from the company to not delay it, as promised the update should be given in the fourth quarter of this year.
LG V20 Android 9 update is the last update for this flagship phone, Android 10 will not come to the phone in the future. According to the XDA developers XDA developers, there are many changes in the phone system like Gesture navigation support, Screenshot preview moved to the bottom right of the screen, Setting to adjust media volume when pressing the volume button, Google Digital Wellbeing features and Individual controls for background applications as well as Screen rotation button added to the navigation bar and New battery savings feature.
LG V20 is not only given the above changes but also a new security measure to prevent the device from being powered off when locked and lock icon display setting for security. Users will be also able to press and hold the power button to stop Smart Lock, biometric, and lock screen notifications when unlocking the device. New ‘Sunset to sunrise’ setting and WiFi control permissions for each app. SD card encryption removes limitation that screen lock can only be set by PIN or password, Fixed placement of the home screen so that apps and widgets don’t move, new dual app feature to allow users to use multiple accounts on the same app
The Korean electronics manufacturer also confirmed that LG Q9, LG X5 2018 and LG X4 2019 will also get the Operating system updates. Now, LG G8 and V20 OS updates are awaited to get released worldwide.
