Moscow Games 2019 to officially host Dota 2 and FIFA tournaments

From September 18 to 22, Moscow will host the annual international festival of youth and university sports Moscow Games 2019. This time, participants will be able to compete in Dota 2, FIFA’19 and Hearthstone tournaments. Competitions are held with the support of the Moscow Computer Sports Federation. All events involve two stages: group and playoffs. Matches of the preliminary stage will be held on September 19 and 20, and the final rounds – on September 21.

All games will be held in the interactive entertainment center Cyberspace, located at ul. Avtozavodskaya, 18, 2nd floor of the Riviera shopping center. Students (bachelor’s, master’s, postgraduate) and 2019 graduates can become participants in the competition. Participants must be no older than 27 years old, as of September 1, 2019. Moscow Games is one of the largest sports events for students in Europe, uniting amateur athletes from all over the world. It has been held since 2014 and is under the patronage of the European University Sports Association (EUSA).

At the Moscow Games 2019 festival, student teams will compete in 13 more sports: soccer 6×6, soccer volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, beach rugby, beach tennis, hockey, cheerleading, athletics, chess, swimming, and curling. For those who want to improve their skills in the field of sports management, the Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia has prepared training and masterclasses, a business program with the participation of experts and famous speakers. The festival’s innovation will be the presentation of a new multisports format – a relay race combining intellectual and sporting tasks.

Together with Moscow Games 2019, the capital will hold the All-Russian Festival of Volunteering in the field of student sports and healthy lifestyles “Life Formula”. This event will bring together more than 3,000 activists from 80 regions of Russia promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The events will take place at eight sports facilities of the capital – the Dynamo Beach Sports Center, the New League curling club, and the USK CSKA them. Gomel, CSKA indoor ice rink, CSKA sports swimming complex, CSKA “Gaming” CSKA, and the athletics and football complex CSKA will become the central platform.

The event was organized by the Federal State Budget Institution “Rospatriotcentr”, the Department of Sports of Moscow, the Russian Student Sports Union, the Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia and the Association of Student and Youth Sports.
