Cookies we use

We don't currently set any cookies for analytics, advertising or personalisation.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies that help tell real visitors apart from automated traffic and protect the site from attacks. They don't track you across other websites and aren't used for advertising. Because the site needs them to run securely, they don't require consent.

Cookie Set by What it does How long it lasts
__cf_bm Cloudflare Helps distinguish people from bots 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare Remembers that you passed a security check, if you were shown one 30 minutes by default

Cookies from embedded content

Some articles may embed content from other services, such as YouTube videos or social media posts. Those services can set their own cookies when you view the embedded content, under their own policies.

If we add analytics or advertising

We'll update this page before any analytics or advertising cookies are used, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block Cloudflare's security cookies, you may be asked to complete a security check more often. Your browser's help pages explain how, and aboutcookies.org has guides for the main browsers.
